Body Count

Each day he cuts out the New York Times
Names of the Dead American Service members
reads out loud, name, rank, age, hometown
then places them in a green metal dish
to rest with the silences in between.

DAVID, THIS IS BEAUTIFUL. AND IT REMINDS ME OF JAMES' STORY I THINK IT WAS -- "THE ALTER OF THE DEAD" -- OR SOMETHING CLOSE TO THAT. I HAVE A STATUE OF KUAN YEN ON A TABLE IN MY HOUSE; IN FRONT OF HER IS A LOVELY CANDLE HOLDER WITH A CANDLE, AND ALLL AROUN IT ARE PICTURES OF MY FRIENDS WHO DIED. ANYWAY, THIS LITTLE PIECE OF YOURS IS LOVELY AND WARMS THE HEART/BOBBY M
